A Child’s View of History at Liberty Hall Museum

Summer Safety 2 Event at the Jewish Children’s Museum

What: This second annual safety event for kids features a number of safety-themed exhibits, including a sun smart challenge and hydration activities. Children will have the opportunity to meet and be photographed with “community heroes – safety personnel,” including policemen, fire fighters and others. Drive through “Safety City,” a mini-city road course complete with traffic lights, pedestrian crosswalks and street attractions. Children will have to practice safe street behaviors both as drivers on pedal go-carts and as pedestrians in order to be awarded a “Safety City” license.

First Aid/CPR Certification Workshop at Montclair B.A.B.Y.

What: A rocket is simply a chamber filled with pressurized gas. Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion, “Action and Reaction,” will be demonstrated. This law states that “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” Come to the library and experiment with different types of rocket cars and make your own to take home.
