Learn to Ride a Bike Class

What: Bike&Walk Montclair offers this class for kids at that age where he or she wants to ride a two-wheeler. This class teaches a safe, easy, effective way to learn to ride. Using this “balance first” method, our facilitators help get their children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with an easy, hands-free, crash-free, and low-stress way to learn to ride.

WBGO Kids Jazz Concert: Willie Williams

What: Discover America’s musical art form at the WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series! In an interactive performance titled “The Tenor Sax in Jazz and Blues” Willie Williams will perform examples of tenor greats as well as teach about the saxophone’s place in jazz history through examples like the “Pink Panther” theme, “My Favorite Things” and other popular tunes. The audience will also be invited to participate in a blues sing-along. Q&A session follows the concert. Adults must be accompanied by a child.
