Montclair Art Museum’s Imagination Station
Who: Families of all ages.
What: A drop-in weekend program that will be held in the Museum galleries and will focus on a different artwork or theme each week. Families will be engaged in active looking, lively discussion, interactive activities and scavenger hunts, and have a unique opportunity to sketch in the galleries.

Teen Halloween Dance Party

Harvest Festival

Cookies n’ Cream For Halloween

Halloween Portrait and Fundraiser
Who: Costumed kids of all ages.
What: Bring your kids to Phil Cantor Photography for a Halloween Portrait and help out The  Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair. 
Where: Phil Cantor Photography, 26 Lackawanna Plaza, montclair, NJ, 07042. 
When: Saturday, October 31.
Cost: $39. All of the proceeds will go to the Human Needs Food Pantry. Contributions are tax deductible. Your child will receive a gift portrait and have his/her photo on display on Phil Cantor’s website. 
 
Howl-oween
Who: All ages.
What: Celebrate Howl-oween at Turtle Back Zoo. Wear your costume and ride the ”spooky train” or enjoy the magical talents of master magician Joe Fisher.

Cardboard Creature Costumes
Who: All ages.
What: Spend the afternoon at MAM making a creative costume out of cardboard, tape, recycled scraps, and lots of imagination. Become a robot, butterfly, dinosaur, spiky cactus, or even a walking refrigerator… options are endless. A MAM teaching artist will be on hand to help families turn piles of raw scrap material into creative and innovative costumes. MAM will supply a mound of raw materials but families are encouraged to BYOC (bring your own cardboard) to add to the communal pile.

Halloween Sciencetelling with Andrew PIccirillo

What: A special Halloween Sciencetelling show teaches about gas and air pressure through Bill and Terry’s adventure as they chase floating ghosts, hide from town bullies, and escape from danger. Using fiery spiders, exploding water jugs, floating eyeballs, a whirlwind of toilet paper, and amazing dry ice experiments, discover why Sycamore Street at sundown is a very scary place!

Who: All ages.
What: A lineup up events that includes live music, BBQ, bouncy houses, face painting and more. The Little Read event will also take place on campus!

Kids Workshop: Message Center
Who: Young carpenters ages 5 – 12.
What: The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin.
