4th Annual Wofabe African Dance and Drum Festival

Who: All ages.
What: Wofabe means “everybody come” in the Sou Sou language of Guinea, West Africa. The one-day festival is open to dance/drum/music instructors, students, and the general public. In addition to the dance and drum classes, there will be a free children’s class and crafts fair.

Three Sister Stew
Who: Ages 8 and up.
What: The Leni Lenape were Northeastern Woodland Native Americans who walked through Montclair on their journeys between Canada and the state of Delaware. In the fall they would harvest their crops and prepare a traditional dish made from corn, beans and squash. Join Brother Saalik Cuevas on this exploration of history and culture. Participants will help make Three Sister Stew and receive a copy of the recipe to make at home.
