Casino and Cabaret Night Fundraiser
Who: Parents.
What: The Montclair Community Pre-K’s spring fundraiser will include casino night game tables, live Sinatra-style entertainment, a Rat Pack lounge, a VIP poker experience, a buffet dinner, open bar, and a live and silent auction. The proceeds from the evening will benefit the school financial aid program, which allows all Montclair children the opportunity to receive an excellent early childhood education regardless of any family’s financial ability to pay tuition.

Superheroes Take Over the Mall
Who: Kids, comic book enthusiasts and anyone who wants to support a good cause.
What: The Livingston Mall will be invaded by heroes, monsters, space men and other colorful comic book characters as “Superheroes for Hospice” takes over the shopping center. Come meet notable comic book artists and writers who will be signing autographs, and pick up a comic book from a wide selection of genres and decades available for sale to support a good cause. This charity effort will benefit Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

Eco Boys and Girls Premier at Liberty Science Center

What: An educational film and exhibit starring new, earth-friendly, animated characters designed by model, fashion designer, and artist Maria Snyder. The characters usher in the Center’s Earth Week Celebration and guide children through Liberty Science Center’s environmentally informative exhibits. Kids can participate in environmental discovery challenges, watch the short animated film, and see the characters appear on large screens throughout Governor’s Hall.

Little Explorers Nature Program
Who: Ages 2 1/2 to 5.
What: A child-caregiver class that uses stories, walks and crafts to develop an awareness and appreciation of science and nature for the child as well as the caregiver. Each week, a different nature or science topic is covered.
Where: Essex County Environmental Center, 621 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland, NJ. 
When: Thursdays, April 22 thru May 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 and 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. OR 3 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for ages 3 1/2 to 5.

Drop-In Crafts
Who: Crafty kids 4 and up. 
What: Come in and get crafty with your kids. Drop by the third floor and create a fun easy-to-make craft to take home.

Craft Time

KIDZ Club: Earth Day “Green” Arts and Crafts
Who: Kids ages 4 and up.
What: Earth Day celebration that uses recycled items to make creative crafts.

Earth Day at Terra
Who: Earth loving kids and their parents.
What: Seed starting workshop for kids and all who are young at heart! Make your own pot out of recycled newspaper and start a salad garden of your own.

When: Thursday, April 22 from 11 am – 1 pm.

Public Telescope Night at Montclair State
Who: All ages.
What: Enjoy a spectacular night of stargazing on the Montclair State Campus. Telescopes will be provided for the public to view constellations, the Moon, planets, galaxies, and the wonders of the spring sky. 
Where: Richardson Hall, Montclair State University, Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ, 07043.
When: Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 for little kids. From 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for adults and older kids. Cancelled if the weather is cloudy, very cold or very windy.

Shabbot SPOT 
Who: Children with special needs and their parents.
What: SPOT (Special Parents Out Together) is a supported playgroup with experienced parent mentors and professionals in a welcoming atmosphere for you and your child. Homeschool Day at MAM - Illustrating a Narrative with Mixed Media

On-going six-month club allows participants to choose individual sessions or to attend entire course, which provides a complete health and nutrition program for young gardeners.
