Sewing Workshops with Crafty Katie
Who: Children ages 3 and up.
What: Children learn to sew with Crafty Katie. They will learn to make fun and unique crafts using colorful, easy-to-use sewing machines. Crafty Katie teaches sewing in a patient, encouraging manner allowing children to take breaks when they get too frustrated or overwhelmed.

Teen Girl Meet-the-Author Party
Who: Teen girls entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in September (and their moms!)
What: Celebrate Marina Budhos’ new book Tell Us We’re Home about three 8th grade girls living in a privileged New Jersey suburb. It’s a story about friendship, values, pride, and immigration. Girls get the chance to chat with the author about her book while enjoying drinks and treats in Watchung Bookseller’s special author party.

Bringing Back the Legend: Cougar Recovery in Eastern North America
Who: All ages.
What: Featuring Easter Cougar Foundation President Christopher Spatz, review his findings about cougars in the Shawangunks at Minnewaska State Park Preserve to learn about the this magnificent predator behaves, their biology, and current range dispersal. Spatz will explain why sightings don’t produce evidence and why cougars are important to the declining eastern forests.
