Hilltop Grasshopper Bike Race for Kids

Who: Kids in grade K -8 who know how to ride a bike.

What:  The Hilltop Conservancy and Essex County Parks bring you Essex County’s first kid’s only bike race! Competitors will be separated by age and each course has varied distances. The course includes smooth roadways and winding trails good for new and experienced rides. Come and join the fun! Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions but every racer will receive and award for participating. Parent/Guardian must be present to sign a consent waiver for all participants and bikes must pass on-site mechanical inspection.

Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen)

What: The transition from childhood to adolescence is a difficult time in the lives of both daughters and parents. Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen) is a 6 week program designed by Lisane Basquiat and her daughter Jessica Kelly to help make this transition easier for moms and daughters. The workshop is designed to help create a good relationship of communication, awareness, and positive energy between mothers and daughters through physical fitness, nutrition, conflict resolution abilities. There will be separate group sessions for moms and daughters, Energy Leadership, nutrition, and personal training assessments. The program’s primary fitness expert, Stanley Louis, will lead group workouts as well as personal training workouts that are good for both mom and daughter.

Lazy Days of Summer

Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen)

Who: Moms and their adolescent daughters.

What: The transition from childhood to adolescence is a difficult time in the lives of both daughters and parents. Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen) is a 6 week program designed by Lisane Basquiat and her daughter Jessica Kelly to help make this transition easier for moms and daughters. The workshop is designed to help create a good relationship of communication, awareness, and positive energy between mothers and daughters through physical fitness, nutrition, conflict resolution abilities. There will be separate group sessions for moms and daughters, Energy Leadership, nutrition, and personal training assessments. The program’s primary fitness expert, Stanley Louis, will lead group workouts as well as personal training workouts that are good for both mom and daughter. Coaching sessions will also be held with two follow-up coaching sessions post workshop.

ImaginOcean at the NJ State Fair

Kids Workshop: School Bus Pencil Organizer

Learn to Ride–Kids

What: This class teaches a safe, easy, effective way to learn to ride. Using this “balance first” method, facilitators help get children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most kids learn to ride their bike while

Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen)

Who: Moms and their adolescent daughters.

What: The transition from childhood to adolescence is a difficult time in the lives of both daughters and parents. Mommy and Me (where “Me” is a teen) is a 6 week program designed by Lisane Basquiat and her daughter Jessica Kelly to help make this transition easier for moms and daughters. The workshop is designed to help create a good relationship of communication, awareness, and positive energy between mothers and daughters through physical fitness, nutrition, conflict resolution abilities. There will be separate group sessions for moms and daughters, Energy Leadership, nutrition, and personal training assessments. The program’s primary fitness expert, Stanley Louis, will lead group workouts as well as personal training workouts that are good for both mom and daughter. Coaching sessions will also be held with two follow-up coaching sessions post workshop.
