What: This tale of love and courage is Rodgers and Hammerstein’s final triumphant collaboration. Based on the true story of the von Trapp family, this musical has become a beacon of hope and joy for generations.

What: The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host Paint-a-palooza, an evening of hands-on painting projects in its galleries. The event will welcome families with a variety of art-making projects, kid-friendly fare and festivities to kick off the Art Center’s eight decades year-long anniversary celebration. Event proceeds will benefit the Art Center’s education programs, acclaimed exhibitions and outreach initiatives for kids and K-12 students. Co-chaired by Sue Welch and Helaine Winer.

What: A fun-filled 1 1/2 hours of gym games for kids supervised by a qualified staff!
Where: Ridgewood Avenue School, 220 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ.
When: Fridays December 7, 14 and 21, January 4 (grades 3 & 4 only due to 6th grade dance), 11 (grades 3 & 4 only due to 5th grade dance), 18 and 25, and February 1, 8, 15 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for grades 3 & 4 and 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Cost: Free, but registration must be made online!
