Moms Demand Action Stone Decorating Ceremony

What: Moms Demand Action asks families to paint small stones in memory of each person lost to gun violence in NJ since the Newtown, Connecticut massacre. The organization’s hope for this event is that people will devote some time to thinking about gun violence and feel engaged in the effort to secure better gun laws in NJ and our country.

Daffodil Day at Reeves-Reed Arboretum

What: A fun-filled day of revelry to celebrate the arrival of spring, Daffodil Day will feature activities that the entire family can enjoy!  As part of RRA’s music residency program this year, kids can create original haikus set to music and performed by Rose and the Nightingale.   For the more adventurous types, skilled instructors will provide lessons in archery and an introduction to the ancient art of falconry.  And the little ones can participate in spring-themed games, nature crafts, and a guided parade through the Daffodil Bowl.  A professional photographer will be on hand to take family photos.  Food and refreshments will also be available.

Tot Traditions at Temple Sholom of West Essex

What: Take time once a month to explore the rich tapestry of Jewish Life with your toddler through song, dance, crafts, holiday foods, games and Hebrew language.  You and your child will laugh, learn and love your time together.  Each session is an hour long and will begin at 10:00 am and  focus on a different Jewish holiday and will be led by Suzy Rosenberg, an experienced preschool teacher
