Newark Black Film Festival Youth Cinema

What: The Newark Black Film Festival’s Youth Cinema, a summer-long series of free children’s features and short films, debuts on July 8 at The Newark Public Library, and July 10 at the Newark Museum.

Yoga, Art & Drama Camp

What: This playful afternoon camp will combine kids yoga, which helps kids to release and circulate stuck or built-up energies in their bodies, art, which kids can use to further release these energies into a variety of creations, and drama, where the kids can feel free to fully express themselves. Each day will boast a different, fun theme, helping to educate the children about their bodies and selves through various breathing techniques, asanas, meditation, and relaxation. The art activities will further emphasize and incorporate each day’s topic, offering creative and unique projects. And the drama will allow the child to become different characters and to improvise to fully express the topic of the day. A healthy snack will be provided each day, and you may also send a small snack with your child if you choose.
