Prenatal Peace and Calming

Who: MSU faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
What: The Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health is now offering prenatal services for MSU faculty, staff, students, and alumni.  Using the principals of infant mental health and the evidence from Lamaze International, the childbirth education workshops are open to all expectant women, men and parents at any point in their pregnancy.   We engage in meaningful and authentic exercises to feel comfortable and confident at every stage of pregnancy, labor, birth and parenting.  The seminars will instill confidence in your passage into parenting with resources and tools for a healthy and empowered pregnancy, birth and parenting journey. Come experience the wonder and wisdom of giving birth and being born.
Where: Montclair State University, 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ.
When: Tuesdays 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Session 1:  March 12, 19 and 26 and April 2 and 16.
Session 2: April 23 and 30 and May 7, 14 and 21.
Session 3:  June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 2.
Session 4:  August 6, 13, 20, 27 and September 3.
Session 5: September 17 and September 24, and October 1, 8, and 15.
Session 6:  November 5, 12, 19, 26, and December 3.


Cost: $100 per family for a package of 5 sessions.

A Child’s View of History

Who: Children ages 7 to 12 with an adult.
What: The program will consist of a tour of the house focusing on the lives of the children that lived at Liberty Hall. Each room the children visit will have different objects that the children will be able to touch, the tour will end with hands-on activities and outdoor games. Lemonade and sponge cake will be served.
Where: Liberty Hall Museum, 1003 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ.
When: July 2 – August 29, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Cost: $8 per child and $10 per adult. Reservations required.
