Park Bench Program at MAM

Who: Families with small children.
What: Parents with young children will enjoy MAM Park Bench, a program that introduces children to the Museum and serves as an artistic social outing. Get acquainted with other parents and young children, work on fun art projects, and take a guided tour of the Museum. Storytelling provided in the galleries courtesy of the Montclair Public Library. Today’s Park Bench is about The Sea.
Where: Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Avenue, Montclair, NJ.
When: Wednesday, August 8 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.
Cost: $6 per child, $12 for adults, free for adult members.

Who: Best for children ages 5 and up
What: Bike&Walk Montclair offers this class for kids at that age where he or she wants to ride a two-wheeler. This class teaches a safe, easy, effective way to learn to ride. Using this “balance first” method, our facilitators help get their children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with an easy, hands-free, crash-free, and low-stress way to learn to ride.
Where: Montclair High School, 100 Chestnut St, Montclair, NJ 07042 (Faculty Parking lot on North Fullerton Ave)

What: TBAY is forming a group for new parents, a nurturing space to meet others and talk about the things that matter most: how to get your child to sleep so you can too, calming a crying baby, coping with colic, feeding your baby, and learning about developmental milestones.

What: The Montclair Art Museum invites you and other Home School families for a fun and educational afternoon. These two-hour programs include a gallery tour and a studio art project led by MAM educator Emily Kenselaar.
